I was sitting here contemplating the depths of shitty behavior to which some Internet-folk can descend, and getting both pissed off and really bummed about it. So I started to read webcomics instead. C'mon, everybody, have some superhero spam from Joe Loves Crappy Movies!

And I'm sure you saw my earlier gif-induced madness regarding internet wankery. *shakes head* Maybe we can make a committee with a ribbon?

In conclusion!
(Also, I may have been singing "wikki-wikki-World War 2" in my head at work today.)

Date: 2008-12-10 07:05 am (UTC)Indeed, part of the problem I had with that one "writer"/"artist" that caused all the commotion in my journal awhile back (the controversial figure, I mean) is that she constantly (and apparently given a recent post of hers) does exactly that. I extremely lucky that I had some wonderful, encouraging people to counteract her and her kind to push my own writing skills forward. After seeing her rip apart several people, I was sure I'd never write a thing. Part of why I always try and be encouraging to n00bs, even if it's something I don't ship. I'm eternally grateful for the awesome folks that were out there to counteract the wank.
Rest assured, anything you put out there, you have at least one defender against any wank that should arise*. :^)
*not that I think said wank WILL arise, I'm just sayin'
